In the last post I presented the idea that people will go see a cover band because they don’t have to think about the music. All they have to do is listen and let the music pull up old memories – no bother with creating new memories.
Another thing is that when a cover band plays, they play only the most popular songs recorded by the original band. That way, the listener always gets something they want (or at least something they wanted once upon a time). The original band may have recorded hundreds of songs, but cover bands pick only the hits. No “B” sides for them!
The The Physics of Success is an original work. There’s not much in the way of “feel good” success stories, or “turn your life around” formulas. It’s like listening to music you’ve never heard before – you need to think.
I do include a “How-To” chapter, but it’s pretty cut-and-dried. Do these five things and you will succeed. Ta-da. I suppose if I wanted to sell more books, I’d fluff it up a bit. Which sort of brings us to the point.
I do want to sell more books. This gets us to the bit about the title here, namely The Future of the Physics of Success. So, you can look for a website coming soon that has a lot of fluff and stuff. Or at least a bit.
I’ll keep you posted.
